BluElephant offers one of the simplest solutions to help you remember to check that your child has not been left in their car seat when you leave your vehicle. BluElephant detects when you leave your vehicle and sends a simple notification to your iPhone to remind you to check that your child has not been left in their car seat.
BluElephant works in conjunction with an Estimote Beacon device. The Estimote Beacon is either attached to a child’s car seat or placed inside a vehicle. BluElephant detects when your iPhone is within range of the Estimote Beacon. When BluElephant detects you have left the vicinity of the Estimote, you will receive a notification on your iPhone reminding you to make sure that your child has not been left in their car seat.
BluElephant works in the background, so there is no need to keep the app open for it to work. Since the Estimote Beacon uses very little power, there is no need to remember to replace batteries frequently. BluElephant requires no special modifications to your vehicle and does not require you to carry a separate device.
Using BluElephant could not be simpler! Just follow these steps:
1. Register your Estimote with the app
2. Give your Estimote a name (e.g., Max’s car seat or Mom’s car).
3. Place the Estimote either on your child’s car seat or somewhere in the vehicle.
Thats it! The app will run in the background and send you a gentle reminder every time you leave your vehicle to check that your child was not left in the vehicle.

The makers of BluElephant disclaim any liability resulting from use or misuse (including, but not limited to, defective design, owner’s failure to understand proper usage of the app, owner’s failure to properly maintain the app or Estimote, owner’s exclusive reliance on the app to detect when a person or animal may or may not be in the vehicle, owner’s exclusive reliance on the app to remind the owner to check that a person or animal was left in the vehicle, failure of the owner to maintain his/her iPhone, intentionally ignoring the reminder notification from BluElephant, negligence or misuse by third parties with or without the permission of the owner, maker’s delay in issuing any updates, theft of the Estimote or iPhone, etc.), of this app. The makers of BluElephant disclaim any liability resulting from the negligence of a parent/guardian to adequately supervise/maintain a child, adult, animal, personal property, and/or other such beings or items (including, but not limited to, scenarios where a child crawls into a vehicle and a parent does not know it, when items are stolen from a vehicle, etc.). The makers of BluElephant disclaim any liability resulting from use or misuse (including, but not limited to, the items aforementioned parenthetically) of this app for assistance in remembering to check the vehicle for babies, children, adults, animals, personal property, and/or other beings or items. Owners utilizing this app waive their right to seek damages as a result of, but not limited to, the scenarios listed above.
